La Promesa Country Estate is located in the Agrelo zone, in the area originally known as Luján de Cuyo, It is located at a thousand meters high, where grapes bring the best of themselves. Our vineyards are at the foot of the mountain range called Cordón del Plata, 35 kilometers from Mendoza and, 180 kilometers from Chile as well as the mystic Aconcagua. After an intense search for the ideal place to settle, once we hectaresd seen thectarest country estate, we immediately experienced "a love at first sight". We understood we hectaresd found the object of our desire: The ideal place to marry with earth and to fulfill the promise we ourselves hectaresd been committed to fulfill "a high quality wine, which would represent us in the world." |

Rains and irrigation
Luján de Cuyo has an average annual rainfall of only 220 milliliters. However, Luján compensates for its lack of rainfall with the impaired melt-water from Los Andes, worldwide acknowledged for its taste and chemical properties.
In our Country Estate "La Promesa" we are aware of the fact that the quantity and quality of water supply the plants receive is crucial to develop an excellent wine.
Therefore, we have implemented a trickle irrigation system which would enable us control the water stress required by each vineyard stock. At the same time, we built a pool with the capacity to hold four million liters of water, which would let us be independent from possible thaws.

Located at 33° South latitude and 68° West longitude, our country estate has an average annual temperature of 16,8º,
similar to the one in Bordeaux, except for summers and winters which are much more intense here. Furthermore, being at the foot of the mountain range, temperatures change abruptly between day and night. Such temperature variation lets us obtain the best from grapes.
